Pocket rangefinder gets a new feature

Minor modification enables battery free operation.

Image above shows a small custom part made of film roll container lid. When installed the custom part limits aperture range. As a result Vivitar 35ES (Revue 400 SE) pocket rangefinder has two user selectable f-stops - f3.5 and f5.6 - available even when no battery is present. Shutter speeds ranging from 1/8 - 1/500s and B mode are always available.

Unmodified camera opens the aperture to full aperture f1.7 in mechanical mode when battery is not present.

Modification is reversible by removing the custom part.
